Default Oil change = check light

So I changed my oil today and took a short ride and not long after the 'ol Jeep threw a light, P0058. Seems to be O2 sensor according to a quick google search. Would me changing my oil have anything to do with or pure coincidence?

I've had the same code pop on and off a few times. Just was curious if there was some relation. Saw a posting on some other site with a completely different vehicle and someone said he could be using the wrong oil?? Didn't think it would matter but who knows

Here is some info for the code you have on your 2007 JK:

P0058-O2 SENSOR 2/2 HEATER CIRCUIT HIGH
[Driver's side, lower]
  • When Monitored: Continuously during O2 heater operation with battery voltage between 10.4 and 15.75 volts.
  • Set Condition: The PCM detects that the O2 sensor heater element input is above the maximum acceptable voltage. One trip fault. Three good trips to turn off the MIL.
