Default nooooob's1st post/quick question...

First off, love this forum - thank you all! 1st post/quick question. I have a 2012 jku and i just installed a 2.5" tf coil +1" tf coil spacers, bilsteens, fenders, warn front bumper/rear bumper delete, RE front lca's, exhaust spacers and now thinking about front adjustable tb and new ss (puzzles for hillbillies as i like to describe it). Anyways...Here's the question. If i go with an adjustable tb, do you recommend replacing the tie rod and/or drag link and/or pitman arm as well? Running 33"/12.5"s now and prepping for possible regear and 35's or 37's when i do. Right now it's 99% dd but hoping to start getting off-road much more asap. Thanks in advance for any advice/pointers!

At 3.5" of lift you should be fine with just the track bar. You may see a benefit from a drag link flip but I would try it with out it first and see what you think.

You're getting a rear adj or bracket as well I assume?

Thanks for reaching out! Rear came with bracket and now front is off just an inch or so. Drives dead straight though and no bad shimmys or dw at all. Might just try the tb by itself for now and add dl flip if needed later. Again this is all to prep for bigger tires/better gears. Thanks again!

Just thought of one more question in regards to upgrading the bolts. Is this necessary/recommended for applications such as mine or is this more of a correction people do in order to help solve existing dw issues? Seems like a no brainer to do it if it helps to solve dw but just wasn't sure if i should do it as a preventative to dw. I check the torque on my bolts regularly. Thx for any input.

It's not necessary to upgrade the bolts. Welcome to the forum.

The problem with DW is that when it occurs, it's damaging other components at the same time. So, if you put off doing it until you experience it, once you experience it you risk having it recur until such time as you figure out what other components were damaged--typically the rounding out of trackbar holes, but could be other damaged components as well, depending on how long it takes to get everything fixed at the same time.

Having written that, please don't take that to mean every Jeep will have DW unless they upgrade their bolts. It's just that waiting until you have it may be too late to make preventing it again an easy solution such as the bolt upgrade kit. I have 137K miles on my Jeep, no bolt upgrade kit (because it didn't exist for the first several years we were all trying to figure out what was causing all of these problems), never a case of DW.

Keep everything torqued and you'll be fine.
