Need Tire advice, I'm getting mixed messages!! please help......
Hi All,
I am getting a set of Pro Comp 7069 wheels 17x9 for my 2014 2 door Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep is totally stock and I want to know which tire to get. I was told that 285/70R17 will not rub and also they will rub!?!?!?!. I have also been told the best option is 265/70R17.......I will only be driving it on roads so no off roading. Can anyone give me some solid advice if you have either set up..
Please help!!!!!

The answer is taking 15 minutes to do a little reading. Here's a good link to start with.

I am new to Jeeps and this forum, I have read treads that say the bigger tires rub and won't work.......... and other treads to say they work find....hence being confused. I was hoping someone may have the wheels I am getting and would know for sure........
I'm keep researching.
Thanks.

Thanks.
Because it works 'for sure' for someone else, on their jeep, with their specific setup, does not mean it will work 'for sure' for you. In your research, note the areas where some people have clearance issues, so you will know what to trim just in case.

When my daughter was buying tires and wheels for her jeep, she went to discount tire and they showed her the options that would work. Additionally they would mount the tire and put it on for her to see. Like NCB said though. With proper backspacing you'll be fine.
