Default 285/70 vs oil change

Haven't gotten around to buying a programmer and was wondering how long I should really wait for an oil change. I have 285/70/17s and usually change every 5000 with full synthetic.

Find a calculator online to determine how far off your odometer is but 5000 miles either way is a fine interval. Probably overkill with your synthetic changes- but it's your money, your engine, and your warranty.

It's off by 2% if he had 255/75/17 stock.

Ok im confused. I have 285 70 17 duratracs. So my odometer isnt accurate in terms of MPH. How does this have anything to do with changing my oil?

No, your odo isn't accurate because the tire is traveling further than the jeep believes it is. Thus you're logging more miles than your computer thinks.
