Default Rubicon X rock rail rub

I have a Rubi X with 3" of lift (Mopar Stage 3), non adjustable control arms, and 35s. I finally was able to do some wheeling and get it flexing. In certain situations the rear passenger tire would rub the end of the rail. I'm registered for the Drummond Island Jeep Jamboree in June and want to take of this before that. Is my best option to trim the rail shorter? If so, is it best to remove the rail from the Jeep, cut, paint, and then reinstall or is there room to cut while leaving the rail on the Jeep?

Cut the rails, most everyone else does it. Adjustable control arms are a good investment for your future to push the axles further out so you won't run into the issue again.

Yes- remove, cut, paint, reinstall.
