Default Imstalling rubi 44 with factory lockers

I'M installing front and rear dana 44 rubi axles with factory lockers.

Who can tell me how to wire them up to an aftermarket switch? Also, where do I get the harnesses? I think there are 1 each axle.

Ive seen a write up of it being done on this site before somewhere. Try searching with google as the native search kinda blows.

my understanding is they just take regular 12 volt DC so just wire them off the battery with a switch in the dash and you should be fine.

The plug on top is the actuator. The one in the side is the sensor for the indicator light.

I swapped rubi axles in over the winter. I picked up the Carling Cotura II switches and wired them so the large light goes on when I power them and the small light goes on when they engage. Personal preference.

If you want to do it right, put an inline fuse next to the battery and run relays. I have a 2013 and found a wire to power the switches in my a-pillar (I used the rugged ridge a-pillar pod - really nice setup).

You can splice the locker wires, but I wanted a clean install so used factory connectors (came with the axles). If your axles don't have the connectors, you can buy the factory harness for around $100 and cut the plugs from it.

I've got a wiring diagram somewhere that I made for it. I'm fortunate to have a friend who is an electrical engineer in the auto industry. He wired up a sweet plug and play harness to connect everything. Really easy and clean install.
