Default Help with a $1000 budget for a lift.

just got a new 2013 JKUR. I have $1000 left over for a lift. I want to go 3.5 inches. I am looking for a complete kit, I don't want to have to add any thing later. I will not be doing any hard core wheeling. I am running 35's. Any one have any suggestion?

Keep saving your money...you won't get a quality, complete kit for $1,000

A 2.5" BB.

If you go with a basic 3.5" coil lift, be prepared to set money aside and add/replace in the future.

Is there a reason you want a 3.5" kit? I ask because you will need to address other things like drive shafts...these will add cost to your build.

You said you won't be doing any "hardcore wheeling"....what type of off-roading do you plan to do?

If you are set on 3.5" then you will want the following:

Front LCA's
Front track bar
Rear track bar bracket
Extended bump stops
Extended sway bar links
Extended break lines

Getting it all plus springs and shocks for $1,000 will be tough and mean lower quality parts.

Now add in a front drive shaft which will be needed within a matter of time.

The other option is run less lift, 3.5" is not needed for 35's.

If your not gonna wheel I would say save your money and just get the rough country 3.5 that comes with lower control arms and shocks also get an exhaust spacer. Its no the best quality but for what you need it will work just fine. Not to mention rough country has softer springs than others so it will have a nice ride.

As other have mentioned you will want to save your pennies. We would recommend the RK 3.5" X Factor kit as it give you the most adjustment possible. It will also stand up to as much abuse as you can throw at it.

Personally I think that 3.5" is a perfect height for the JKU. PM us if you are interested in pricing.

I second a budget boost, look at Teraflex, with shock extensions. It's a complete kit, will clear 35's without a problem, and you can get it installed for under 1,000 easily even at a dealership.
