Default Where's the best place to measure?

Hello all,

My 2.5" Teraflex lift will be installed next Tuesday and I want to know how much lift was actually added. Where would be the best place to take before and after measurements? Any recommendations?

I am guessing that I first measure from the axle to some point on the frame (front and rear) for actual suspension lift gain, then for overall lift (to include tires) I would just measure from the frame to the ground?

Thanks!
