Around here, you're typically wheeling in the sand or in the mud. There are many times you want to get the wheels spinning. I never had a problem in my YJ or my TJ but even when I turn the stability control off, I can't get much spin when needed. Any advice?

 

Cut the ESP wire and give it a go. The electronic pedal is also killing you. "Esp kill mod" is roundabouts what you're looking for.

Just read the owner's manual. You can turn off ESC and TCS (the button has multiple modes) but BLD (Brake Lock Differential) is still active even with those two programs disabled. BLD will brake a slipping wheel in attempt to transfer power to the planted/"wheel with traction" wheel in an open differential axle.
