Default Need advice installing Nx trextop twill.

I know people recommend that the top sits in the sun for a few hours when it's hot out. Problem is I live in the Seattle area and it hasn't above 70. I had to use a bunch of ropes and bungee cords to stretch backwards to get the middle bar in.

Wow I am trying to get it forward and I am about inch to a half an inch away from locking down the top header

Any advice on stretching this thing out. I do have a heated garage. But I think it's more of the sun than the heat isn't it.

The rear bar appears to be about 2 1/2 inches away from locking into place.

Just not sure if anyone has tips or tricks or something different than the directions forgetting the top installed

I don't want to break anything so any help would be great.

I knew it was tight but this is crazy. What heating my garage up to about 80 help.

Thanks in advance

Doug

Whatever you do, do not force it!!! I'd place it in your garage, crank up the heat and let the fabric stretch and relax for a few hours. The sun does a good job at relaxing the material, but a heated garage will do the job as well. Just let the garage heat the top and you should be good to go.

Doesn't have to be 70. Just set it outside for an hour or two and it'll go. Did mine in 55 degree and it was perfect

It was cold when I did mine, pulled out the hair dryer and heated the back zipper part and it went on fine. Try that
