Default 2.5 RK X Factor Installed [PICS] Now questions?

Overall the install went very smooth for us. Took our time with it and got it done in about 9 hours or so. Did not have very many hick ups other than listening to the instructions for drilling out a 7/16" hole on the spring pad for the new bumpstops but it needs to be 5/16" instead. Quick fix was driving down to lowes and picking up a 7/16" x 2 1/2 in bolt/nut and doing it that way. The rear sway bar relocation was alright but the bolt head of the threaded screw that came with the kit sheared off. Weird i know. So thankfully i ended up not being able to use the ones for the bumpstop kit and use the spare from that to the rear sway bar. Rear control arms are pretty much all the way in and still longer than what RK says to set them too.

Heres my only issue at the moment guys. Rear springs are sitting crooked. I think i know how to fix this but wanted more of the more knowledgable guys to chime in. I would assume to fix this i would need to bring in the rear uppers to get the axle to turn down a bit. But i know this will put more stress on the rear driveline because of the angles. I have set the arms to what RK said in the instructions other than the rear lowers due to me not being able too. Heres some pics guys.

Rear Coil issue:

Rear lower control arm ( Showing how far in it is and still longer than what RK says to set them at )

Uppers set to spec:

Now finished pictures. Overall i am very pleased with this kit. I cant stand 4wheelparts here in town. Took it in for an alignment, torque, and setting the pinion/caster angles and such for the arms. 1st time is came out only the alignment ended up being done. 2nd time out still found 3 jam nuts not torqued. Bringing it back again for a FREE re torquing and setting everything. ( Well see how this one turns out )

Front:

Side: ( I realize i have a bit of a rake in the rear so i might get a set of 3inch springs for the front to help that out )

If you put bumper and bigger heavier tire in rear then I believe RK said it will level out the rear I hardly notice a rake on my 4 door. Wouldn't put a 3" spring in front. Just put in some 1/2" spacers if it bothers you that much. That way you keep your triple rate springs and not mixing and matching springs.

For the rear sway bar my frame has square cutouts in the side and I can actually get in there with a bolt and washer and that would secure it a lot better. Been thinking of doing that myself.

How much was the alignment at 4 wheel parts? They are opening one here very soon. Hope it turns out to be one of the good ones. If I knew how much they paid there sales staff and service techs I would maybe apply.

Yeah your right about losing the new triple rates. I'll wait for awhile and let things settle before I do it.

Rear sway bars mine have the same thing. I don't see why they went cheap and did the threaded bolt there. Guess all JKs don't have that cut out. That's what I did with the bumpstop though ( replaced with bolt, nut, and lock washers.

I'll PM you what they charge. But they screwed me over several times now and haven't done things right

What's the measurements you did? Also how did you measure the rear uppers. Did you keep the joint centered in the joint housing or adjust them so they would be parallel to each other.

I did them according to RK as much as I could. Also the rear lowers are adjusted as far in as they can go and still past the required length that RK said. I'm hoping 4wp will re adjust everything within a week and it will be fine. If the springs still have that now I will get the JKs rear spring brackets to fix it

Try turning the coil so the end is facing the front of the jeep. Basically the curve of the bottom coil should be on the top of the wedge. Believe that's how I have mine and no bow in my springs.

I'll try that because right now I have the thick part of the wedge is on the backside of the axle and so is the end of the coil.
