I've just been forced to remove the LOD logo plate from my Signature Series Mid-Width as it was rusting and tarnishing the finish beneath.

Write-up with pics here.

Good writeup but I think a lot of us bash ours pretty good on rock ledges so we have a lot of rust to rattlecan.

Hahaha, no joke. I rattle can once a month during the summer wheeling months.

Yeah, you guys are probably dealing with a lot more rocks and stones than we are in the UK. Here it's mostly mud!

Vlad, apparently a site on our server is causing problems. If you refresh you should get through after a couple of goes. The dodgy site is using the server resources but until it's fixed I've disabled the plugins and it's currently working ok for me but occasionally disappears again for a few secs.

Well at least only your LOD logo rusted...my zinc enriched rear bumper looked like hell after one winter season and has gotten worse...time to take off and sand it down and repaint this summer.

Damn. I've run their bumpers and sliders on multiple jeeps and never had any rusting issues of any kind.

sent from my work leash

Agree. I've had the sliders without the zinc coating and abused them, went through two winters covered in salt, and no rust. Something about those didn't look right. It shouldn't rust from the inside-out.

Ive had no issues with LoD's sliders and also the armorlite bumper in the front. Love their stuff!
