Quite Axle Dump Exhaust - for '12 JKU - Success
I've seen a few people ask about exhaust modifications that aren't too loud, so I figured I'd share my set up.
I went to my local custom exhaust shop and they installed a Flowmaster H-2 Hushpower muffler in line with my stock resonator. It's only 18 inches long and tucks right up into the space.
They also modified my spacers and crossover to stop my exhaust rattling against my engine skid while maintaining clearance for my axleshaft.
I would describe the sound as a quiet rumble at low speeds when I hit the gas... definately not obnoxious, but does sound pretty cool.
I haven't heard any drone at highway speeds. In fact, I can't even tell the difference in sound from the stock muffler.
Cost me roughly $350, but that included the crossover work which you may not need.

Note: yes I know I misspelled quiet in the title.

I like it! Been looking to do something like that. I'm curios about two things. I guess it will pass inspection? How loud do you think it would be without the resonator?

Not to bad. I have a buddy who just cut off his exhaust and runs just his resonator, and its not too bad either considering. Its a 3.8 though.
