What happens if you don't check wheel spacer torque......... duh.
So my wife picks me up the other day and says the Jeep has a bad vibration on the highway, here's what I found..... just a reminder if you run wheel spacers check your tourque often!! The studs on the hub itself were fine, but it looks like the studs on the spacer were loose! That'll teach me. One single stud survived and held that wheel on. I am very lucky. whipped the spacer off , reattached the wheel and drove home..

No kidding, the passenger side looked fine, then I walked around to the drivers side and almost fell over, believe it or not she had just driven about 35 miles on the highway.... she said it started to shake as she was turning off onto the exit ramp!!! Lesson definitely learned! btw no spacers now
Glad to see no one was hurt.
I see the spacers are hub centric. Are the wheels also hub centric or are they lug centric?
It almost looks like a case of too much torque (more than 125 ft/lb) on the lug nuts. If they were too loose I would have suspected the nuts would fall off or at least see wear on the sides of the lug bolts.

The wheels then were stock JK 18" alum. it's interesting that you mention too much tourque, when I first got them a few years ago, I used a torque wrench and torqued them to 95lbs. BUT like I said I hadn't checked them as often as I should have. interesting though the last time the wheels were off the Jeep was at a tire shop, and I can almost guarantee they used an air wrench to put them back on.. you might be right in saying too much torque!! I really should have checked after the shop visit.

Same thing happened to me because I didn't use the locktite initially. Took them all off, applied the locktite and haven't had one come loose since then.
