Default Rocker Body Armor purchased with no hardware to attach...sheet metal screws work?

I am having a hard time finding the right nutsert hardware...any ideas or links? there are about 40...1/4" holes...

I got a great deal on the armor...thinking i could easily find the hardware to mount...not so...they have been sitting for a year now.(got busy ) tempted to just use self tapping sheetmetal screws with locking head...but pretty sure they will not hold well enough being the body metal is sooo thin...am I wrong?

JK bodies are very thin, I wouldnt do sheet metal screws. Have you tried Fastenal or maybe McMaster Carr?

Tried all the local Fastenal stores around me a couple times now and just get a blank stare and a shoulder shrug or head scratch..... There is no name on the parts anywhere, so no idea who made them. I guess I can call a manufacturer who makes them... Just seems like they would be easier to track down....

I will have to Google McMaster Carr... Thanks

McMaster-Carr

Rivet nuts are pretty handy in a situation like this but you will need the tool to install them

YES! That's what I am looking for! Can't believe I haven't heard of McMaster Carr! Thanks!

Now just have to figure out how thick the body metal is and order them up.
