JKU BIKINI top and hard ware. Help.
The wife has a 2008 jKU. with a hard top. Well she loves to go topless!! Most of the time!! We want to do a bikini top for summer use. Really want to do the wind jammer and the door surrounds. It's her daily driver so she needs the water proof option. The point is. Do they seal up real good?? She has a 30 mile back road 50 mph tops drive to work. Can y'all give some input on this.
And don't say soft top. When it's not raining it will be topless. But if a shower pops up she needs to be dry!
Thanks for the help.

I run the besttop bikini with factory door surrounds. It seals up pretty good up front. I wouldn't want to use it just strapped to the roll bar. I think it would leak to bad. I have the rear tonneau cover but not the windjammer. If someone is in the back seat and it's raining while driving they get soaked from the rain blowing in. All this being said I have had it in since April and it won't come off until probably September. Oh and it takes a good 10 minutes to out on. I can put my complete soft top on faster. I would put it on and leave it.
I have the oem JKU bikini top and it's made with the same material as the soft top and hooks on the existing door surrounds. The only thing I had a hard time installing was the header. It was my first time. I also have the rugged ridge mesh top and I must say, the mesh is cool and all but it flaps around too much. With the canvas bikini top, it's pretty solid in strong winds.
I have the bestop bikini and am having an issue that must be common with the factory door surrounds for the factory soft top. There are two rocker style hooks to clip the factory soft top above the back doors, just behind the first section that flips open. You need to unclip these to drop the top all the way to the back. Anyhow, they are trying to poke a hole in the bikini top. Is there some replacement for this piece, or solution to cover it from tenting the bikini top? Thanks.
