Default Rockkrawler heavy duty steering fail

Driving down highway today at 55 goin to local wheeling spot and lose all steering vere off the highway into medium and came to stop. Luckily the grass in middle of highway was flat if big hill like most around here I could rolled my jeep. Come to stop to get out and see upper link from pitman to knuckle clean shear snap. Remind you this jeep hasn't been wheeled hard cause still fixing bugs and these parts only been on for a month. The break hasn't been there long cause nothing was rusted. Didn't hit no bump in road or anything
Anyone ever hear of this happening???

Agreed. Have yet to hear of one breaking. I would like to see pictures as it would give more insight as to where and how it failed.

Dude! Im glad you are ok. That could of been fatal if you had been in the wrong place at the wrong time.

You should PM Rock Krawler. It's rare to see a catastrophic failure like that without some sort of outside force causing it. Im going to guess it was from a mfr'ing defect in the rod, possibly a seam or lap during extruding/forming. Many industries perform magnetic particle inspections on parts like that before putting into service. I am positive that RK will want to take a look.

Yes I'd recommend getting in touch with RK. In any case, they do a great job of standing by their 'abuse proof' warranty

Wow. That's no good. Glad you're safe.

Can't wait to see RK's spin on this. Should be interesting.
