Jeeps are everywhere in the world but I've never seen more lifted and modified Jeeps running around than in Central Texas in Austin and the surrounding areas. You see so many nice rigs you will get carpal tunnel syndrome from Jeep waving. When I'm there I will see 7 or 8 lifted rigs on the average drive around town. In the greater Portland Oregon metro area where I live now not so much. Often I drive to work and don't see another jeep at all. Nobody to wave to. Outside the USA I have not found another Jeep haven either. I just spent the week in South Africa in both Joburg and Cape Town, saw 3 jeeps the whole week. A couple months ago I was in Beijing China and saw just 1 jeep. In Taiwan a big fat zero jeep sightings. I'm starting to think Austin, TX is the modified Jeep Capitol of the world. The ironic thing is that there are not too many places to wheel in central Texas and you have to drive far to get there ( Katemcy Rocks, Hidden Falls etc)because 98% of the land in Texas is privately owned. But in the Pacific Northwest there are a lot more places to go with forest fire roads and other publicly owned open spaces, just see way fewer Jeeps around here.

It makes sense Colorado would have a bunch. I'd be disappointed if they didn't.

I've traveled all over the U.S. and the best towns for Jeeps are Moab, UT; Flagstaff/Sedona, AZ; and anything on Colorado mountains.

And Texas has Big Bend and Big Bend Ranch State Park.
