Default 2014 rear main seal leak!!!!

Only has 7,000 miles. Anyone else have their rear main seal leak? It's at the dealer now. They said 3 days to fix. A good ole boy could probably get it done in an afternoon

Not a big deal really. Could have been a damaged seal to begin with or installed wrong. I'm sure once it's fixed, you'll be fine.

yes, but a good ole boy will charge you to do so. Relax and let the dealer handle it. It'll be good as new when you get it back.

That's why I said "as good" LOL. I made an appointment for mine because the tailgate rattling is driving me nuts! Jeeps are like a mistress that constantly requires attention to make you happy...

Default It's probally the oil cooler under the intake manifold

If you've let a novice change your oil filter he probally cracked your plastic filter housing by torqueing over 18 inch pound not foot pounds destroying or cracking the oil cooler.

I have a 2012 JKUR with 23,000 miles on it. Just found engine oil leaking from between motor and transmission.

Default Will be taking into dealer after wheeling

I have a '13 that is leaking oil between the engine and manual transmission. Looks like the rear main seal for some reason. Will be taking into the dealer for warranty work if it continues. Only have 18K and already have a leak. Would putting larger tires or extreme cold allow a leak? I am hoping it is just the seal contracting in the sub zero weather and is not big deal.

Same story with a 12'. Luckily warranty covered it. 2 full days at dealer.

Mine leaked after around 18k miles in my 2013 with 6 speed MT. The gasket they use from the factory is terrible. Had it fixed and no problems since.. however, now my drivers front axle seal is leaking. The diffs leak if they take any sort of impact because the gasket is so brittle.

.. My throw out bearing is also garbage. At this point I'm glad I opted for the 100k mile warranty .. cause these things sure don't get more reliable as they age.
