Default Trek Armor seatcover install help! 2013 JKU

Alright, so I pulled the trigger on some Trek Armor seat covers since I just Raptor lined my interior on my 2013 JKU! Still waiting on rear seat covers to come in but got the fronts in and started installing them yesterday. So far, I love how these seat covers look, fit and function! But, I'm having trouble in a couple areas:

- I can't get the bottom cover's Velcro to adhere to the fuzzy backing of the stock seat. You can see how my finger can fit behind the cover because it won't stay velcroed (last pic)

- there is a strip of stock seat material still hanging out of the bottom. Is that supposed to be there or is it some how to be tucked in so the flap can come through and attach to Velcro at bottom of cover? (First pic)

- in some install videos and pics I've seen, it looks like the seat back adjuster handle needs to come off and the cover is supposed to go around it then be reattached. Mine just has a small flap with a pocket that looks to fit over it instead but makes it difficult to adjust the seat (2nd & 3rd pics)

With these issues, I'm starting to wonder if I didn't get shipped the wrong covers.

Anyone with any input, advice, suggestions? I'd appreciate it

The front seat bottom is supposed to go through the seat and velcro to the back of the front seatback where the pocket is (on the inside of the trek armor cover). This will solve both your velcro issue and your flap issue.

For the recline adjuster, pop the handle off. Lay the flap down and poke a hole for the adjuster and reinstall the lever so it is on the outside.

There is no Velcro on the inside of the seat cover. Only on outside of cover, at bottom, under the back pocket. So am I supposed to tuck the bottom of the stock cover up and in then pull the seat cover thru and Velcro it to outside? It's super tight and I don't know if it can go any further.

Also, I have seen pics of other TA covers that show a cut out area for the forward/back adjust bar that velcroed around it like the lumbar handle. Why would I have to cut another hole in these $$$ covers?

Here is what I did....I folded the bottom "skirting" of the stock cover up and then pulled the TA cover thru and tried velcroing it to the back of the seat cover. Like I said, it's super tight and can't get it thru completely.

But the "skirting" is all bunched up under the TA covers and doesn't look all that great

Call Mitch at TA and he will talk to you about why they don't cut certain holes for things in the covers. He will also give you some advice on how to get it done. He was super helpful with minie when I bought and installed them.

Did you have to cut the hole for the side lever?

No. But these covers are "ripstop" so if I was you I'd take off the lever, cut a small hole or make an X-incision, slide the lever post through and remount the lever. Slightly same principle as cutting holes for the headrests posts.

I didn't have to cut a hole for the seat lever. It had a hole with Velcro to allow you to just wrap around the lever without removal. However, it didn't fit right so I had to remove the lever and cut some additional material out. From what I've read, the 2013+ have a little more padding in the seats than earlier models. That is probably why it was tougher to fit the seat adjustment handle as well as the Velcro attachment in the back.
