Default Alignment questions

Hi all,

Wondering if some of the more knowledgeable here on the forum can look at my alignment spec results (just took her to the local alignment shop) and tell me where to go if I even need to go anywhere with this.

looks like the camber is off and caster as well, just need to know what might be causing it and which direction to go as far as correcting. I'm not having any big issues with it tracking, a slight vibration, I was having a bit of a wobble until I replaced the trackbar.

here is what I have on the rig.

2009 JKU X
2" mopar coil lift
3/4" daystar spacers up front to level
teraflex monster HD adj track bar
jks quick disco's
285/75/17 BFG KM2's on stock rubi wheels
rancho RS9000XL shocks
fox 2.0 SS (ifp)

thx for your help.

Looks like you need lower adjustable control arms to get your caster back to normal. A less expenisve route could be AEV geometry correction brackets. As far as the vibration, the tires could be out of balance. Steering wheel vibration would be front tires, seat vibration would be rear tires.

^^^^yep. Caster is way low. Get geo brackets or adjustable lower CAs. Your Jeep must be driving pretty crappy.

Camber can't be changed (unless you want a new axle or expensive offset ball joints). It probably came from the factory out of spec. It's nothing to worry about and a little extra negative camber will likely handle better. It is not enough to cause unusual tire wear.

Vibration is likely the tires. Get them balanced and see what they say and if that changes it.

I agree. However, I recommend upper front adjustable control arms for the caster correction. The lowers are to align the axle with the frame (align bump stops, center wheels in wheel wells, and square the axle). Which all should have already been done through design at the factory with stock lowers. IMO, get the uppers to adjust caster.

Edit: I know most suggest lowers for front and uppers for rear but never really understood why, maybe to get some wheel base back.

Looks like you have a Teraflex track bar already so you could go with Teraflex if you want to keep the same brand. They make nice stuff. I also recommend Rock Krawler, very heavy duty and come with a pretty awesome warranty.

Teraflex is where I am leaning, another friend from the forum also recommended them.

Upper is usually the better way to go if you are going to adjust your caster. But is you have or want stronger lowers... then get new lowers.
