Default Need actual testimony here - 35s/4.10/3.6/etc

All,

I just sold a 2010 JK with 3.73 and I ran Toyo 35s for years then MTR 37s for 18 months. Had Superchipped but was still not great. 35s much better than 37s though obviously.

So now I'm planning mods for my new 2014 Rubi and I've read the threads but I need some actual user feedback.

With the new engine and the 4.10 can I run 35s (light ones like Duratracs or KM2s) with pretty close to stock driveability? Can I cruise up to 80+ on the highway? Will I lose much power on long hills, etc? Real world feedback appreciated. Still considering 33s but don't really want them. Going with AEV Dualsport 2.5" lift BTW.

Thanks, appreciate your feedback.

35 and 4.10 is great on the new engine. 4.10 and stock tire is actually over geared. I'm on my 4th pentastar wrangler and I've had 3.73, 4.10 and 4.88 with stockers, 315/70/17, 35 and 37. 35 and 4.10 was my favorite. Second was 37 and 4.10. You will have zero issues at 80 short of long hills. At 70, no issues.

Yes it's a great place to live, hence bring your check book. It's expensive!

Oh I'm aware - cost of living on all levels is still a good 15-20% less than where I am now. (Southern NH on the beach close to Boston). More money for mods.

I have 4.10 gears, 35x12.5 BFG KM2s, AEV 2.5 and it drives great at highway speeds. I just completed a 1700 mile road trip 2 weeks ago and was impressed how the power was similar to the stock performance. I did use AEV Procal to set tire size and adjust shift points. You will be happy with 70-80 MPH on highway.
