Aussie locker or lunch box auto lockers for dana 30 and 44
I was looking into an affordable locker that would not fail in the long run but would be good for the wallet. I have a 2012 jeep wrangler sport with stock Dana 30 and Dana 44 axles. I was looking forward to installing an Aussie locker for the front and maybe a Yukon zip locker for the back. Has anybody had experience with this setup or has (is) running this in there DD?
The Zip is an air locker. Did you mean the Grizzly?
The aussie is very popular, but I haven't seen many posts/reviews on the grizzly to know how is stacks up against a detroit.
I haven't used either of those, but I ran a pair of detroits. Not a good combo for me while living in state with snow, but you shouldn't have any problems down in Florida. Auto-lockers have their quirks, but once you get used to them you'll be fine.

I had an Aussi in the rear diff of a 97 tj,,, it definitely changed the way it drove around town,, but I changed my driving style a little and got used to it. If you want to keep your Jeep a little more street friendly,, put it in the front, then you wont even know its there. It will lock up every time you need it. I was very impressed with mine.
I we have a 12. With d30 up front. I chose the TruTrac up front and an ARB in the rear. Couldn't be happier with the way it performs on the trail and in the rocks. If you have an automatic (not sure about standards) you have to go selectable in the rear to avoid limp mode during normal driving. ( so I was told )

After researching I figured I would save up and do selectable lockers front and rear (arb or eaton elocker). If it was a trail rig then I could see doing auto lockers but going to play it safe and do selectable lockers instead.
