I love my trail grapplers but I'm gonna be moving up to 37s/38s soon and I am still debating if I want the same pattern or a mtr/k

 

I just ordered 37" MTR's. I have 35" Duratracs now. Best tire ever. I would never have anything else

 

I went from 33" MTRs to 35" Trail Grapplers and really wish I had stuck with the MTRs. The only thing the Trail Grapplers have going for them is they are quieter. Other than that I preferred the MTRs. I thought they drove much better on-road and off-road.

 

Any more input? I am facing this decision right now. Specifically 35's

 

MTRs bring the suck. I went from 35" Duratracs to 37" MTRs. The compound is just too hard for wheeling in the East. The Nittos walk all over the MTRs out here. The 37" MTRs are loud, don't balance well, and are worthless in anything but dry pavement.

The only time I would want the MTR over the Nitto would be when the mud gets thick or deep. Then the Nitto goes to crap.

 

From my experience the trail grapplers suck in mud. I wouldn't really want either for my own jeep. There's others out there that I like more.

 

Had 35" MTRs on my 2008 JKR and thought they performed well in all conditions but they needed to be balanced almost every rotation. Running 295 Grapplers on my 2014 JKUR and so far have no issues other than they get loud at highway speeds. I just turn up the radio...

 

I am currently running mtr/k and in the rocks there un stop-able (if u don't bust a sidewall), but in thick mud they load up bad and aren't very good. Overall i like the tire because i hate mud and only play in rocks if i can...
