Rubicon Express 2.5 rear bottoming out

Rubicon Express 2.5 rear bottoming out
Hi guys, recently I bought 2007 Jeep Rubicon (2 Door). I just installed a RE 2.5 standard coil system with mono tubes and springs and 35 inch tires. The issues that im having is the rear axle seems to bottom out over every bump on the road. This makes the ride really rough and jarring when the rear axle goes over any bump at speed or even a speed bump at low speed i can hear it hitting throughout the entire frame. Now im thinking of totally eliminating the rear bump-stop extension that came with the lift, so it stops bottoming out. However something just doesn't feel right. Why would the extension come with the kit if it is not needed?

Check your rear shock installation...it's easy to install the shocks upside down and all the oil winds up on the wrong side of the piston..just because your old shocks had the body on the top doesn't mean the new shocks mount the same.. I did this to my sons TJ on the rear axle....bottomed out on every bump. Flipped the shocks and problem solved... I hope it's that easy for you! Good Luck!
Thanks for the tip, unfortunately on the JK the rear shocks can only be installed one way! as the top and bottom mounts are different!

Are the shocks blown? That would allow you to more easily compress the coils. I had another brand of coils that would collapse more easily under the weight of the vehicle when hitting a bump on the highway. My newer coils don't have that same issue so the fix for me was new coils.
Bumpstops are in place to prevent the shocks from bottoming out, and usually keep components from touching each other. Removing them won't help your bottoming out, it'll just help blow your shocks more quickly.

My Rubicon express kit is brand new. It included shocks, springs, end links, brackets for the sway bar, and strike pads for the bump stops. I don't know if the springs are insufficient, or if the factory bumpstops need to be replaced.

I have this kit and when I first installed it I had the same problem. What I did was put the bump stop bracket on backwards. It is directional. It will only go on one way that it will not hit. I had to turn it around. I had one side correct and the other was not. You might check that.

Take your bump stop bracket off and turn it 180 degrees then bolt it back down. That might help.

On the way home the other day I passed a JK on the interstate and I could see their rear shock moving up and down...A LOT 
. IDK how they couldn't feel their whole rear end being a bit bouncy.
For what it's worth, those little rubber things shoved up in the frame aren't really bumpstops. Those compress to almost nothing. .
I think TWP might have nailed it on the issue.
