My 2011 Wrangler regrets!!!!!!
I regret putting 4.88's, regret putting PSC Front & rear bumpers, regret putting Gobi's roof rack, regret lifting 3" and going 35's! Why you ask? Cause my 3.8 ltr motor don't have shit for horsepower to move all that weight! I know...I know....it's my fault for adding all that to my rig. Not bitching at my rig, nor am I with the mods I did. I am bitching at the junk motor that's in it. I get roughly 180 miles out of my Jeep before having to fill it up. With the heat around here, its struggling now with the roof rack I put on while it was cool this past winter. I can't wait till I pay it off and park it, cause it will be my weekend toy and around town driving. I do have a K&N Cool air intake & Magnaflow exhaust also, and neither one of those did anything for my Jeep. All I know is my gas gauge don't last long in town or on the highway anymore. But you know what? I love my Jeep and just have to deal with it. I got way too much money invested to try to sell it and have to start all over again on a newer one with the 3.6. So all in all, I am very unhappy with the lack of horsepower, but love what I did to it. It looks badass and can pull its ass off when needed, just not a daily driver...

I had the same feelings toward the 3.8 as you do and that was even with 5:13 gears so it did pull a little better. My gas mileage topped off at 12.5 to 13 mpg. Disabling the ESP helped on my rig since there was issues with it from day one. I ended up putting it on a diet.
I have a supercharger in mine. The vehicle weighs just over 5000 lbs as it sits. With the SC I get 15mpg in town and 17-19 on the highway. Downsidw is I still don't have confidence that the 3.8 will take 8lbs of boost for the long haul. This is why mine is scheduled to get a 6.0 and 6L80E installed in August. This is the jeep I will keep and so I'm looking at the V8 as an investment in longevity.

Just a thought Jeeps hold their value really well. Go look at a dealer and see if there is something you like there. I bet you could get a decent trade in and the 3.6 is nice but it's not a speed demon just makes all the heavy stuff livable. I have 35's, have front and rear bumpers, and a winch along with 3.73 gears and able to cruse down the road. I also get 16.5-17.0 mpg so I think that's just fine. Half the fun owning a Jeep is all the stuff you can buy for them so starting over is not a bad thing.
