Default Spare Rear tire mounting

Can I use a relocater bracket for spare. I heard the tailgate can be damaged. I will have a 35x12.5x17 spare. Or should I wait to upgrade to a bumper combo unit tire holder? 2013 Un limited

I am in the same dilemma right now also. Not sure if I should just run with a spacer till I can afford the teraflex hinged carrier or also keen on the Or Fab carrier with rotopax and hilift jack mount. I'm just worried my tailgate won't hold that long with a 35. With light off road use how long can you get away with?

I used the off camber relocation bracket with the reinforcement gussets. I am running a 295/75-18 and its a heavy tire . I had it for 6 months now and go climbing 3 weekends a month, no problems yet. But you will want to shut the tailgate easy and make sure the it does not swing open freely. And you will lose seeing ur 3 rd brake light

I have a bracket that will do the trick for sale. I went to a Teraflex hinge and don't need it anymore. See For Sale section

I have the rampage products spare tire mount. It's been on for 2 years with no issues. I had to relocate my 3rd brake light and used lug litz. I then made a custom plate bracket as I didn't want to get rid of the lug lights. Also installed the led lightnin' bolts. The pic isn't that great of the plate light' but you get the idea.
