Default Which "hybrid" tire?

I am torn between wanting an MT or being more particle and getting a "hybrid" tire since my rig is my daily driver.

If a "hybrid" tire, which one would you think would best fit me based upon my info below?

- Goodyear Duratrac (I know recommended ALOT)
- Kelly Safari TSR (Appears to have more spacing between lugs both inner and outer. At least in pics)
- Cooper ST Maxx (Not sure if large enough spacing. Stronger sidewall)
- Fierce Attitude (I know it a mud tire, but it doesn't appear to be as aggressive as most typical MTs).
- Don't want a typical AT tire as I know how they perform in the mud around here.

My Info:
- I'm running a 2.5 RK lift and am a fairly light rig with just rubi rails, ace sliders and Terraflex HD hinge. I have 3:73 stock gears and a Superchips Flashpaq. I'll be running these on a 17x8.5 wheel with 4.5 backspacing.

- My rig is my daily driver and I don't get to get off road that much (or as much as I would like LOL). My usual terrain when off road is woods, rutted logging roads, slick and sometimes sticky mud. Not really any rocks unless I go to an off road park that is about 2 hrs from me which might happen once I get everything set up lol.

Out of those I would go with the highly recommended Goodyear. Other those I would go with toyo open country. My friend runs them on his truck and they have great road manners and excellent offroad for your uses.

Why don't you want a mud tire? If it's muddy where you wheel, it only makes sense to have mud tires. 90% of the time, my rig is on the road, but when I need grip in the mud, I'm really glad I got km2s.

Also, you can't go wrong with the Cooper ST Maxx.

I think I really want MTs but can't decide as my JKU would mainly see pavement. I've tried to decide on an MT and I like the Nitto Trail Grapplers. They seem to have a good rep for balancing well, low on noise, and handle the road well. It's just that they are heavy. I thought about the GY MTRKs but have seen a lot of reviews saying they have a hard time balancing or keeping balanced and mixed reviewed for mainly road use.

I'm about to start a new job and I may be putting more miles on my rig. Not on a daily basis, but some longer trips from time to time.

I put on a set of MTs because they were available at a great price. The extra fuel they will consume will more than eat up the money I saved. Next time I will go with the AT tire because I never do mud on purpose anyway.

Those look interesting. Just don't know much about them. Did you end up with them and if so how are they wearing, noise, etc.?

I really enjoy my Fierces'. Great traction and not a lot of road noise.

Third set of Duratracs here. Put over 40k on my 33's, before I had the cash to go 35's. Wife's jku had 33" duratracs until we traded it in.
Great in the snow, I don't play too much in the mud, but they performed well at Rauch Creek and in the sugar sand mud in the pine barrens.
