Default Lifted, 35's, auto trans, the Highway and gears

There are a lot of threads regarding gears and the consensus seems to be 5.13's for an auto and 35's.

I'm curious as to the experience of members that are lifted with 35's and run on the highway a lot. Specifically has someone found a combination of gears/mods that still allow them to use OD without the kick down on an incline or headwind.

I have a highway trek each day to work of about 25 miles one way and am running a 4" lift, 35's and have the stock 3.73 gears. Looking for some user feedback before I do a gear swap.

Depends on what year aka what engine you have. More info is needed.

I see you have a 2010 so I would probably go with 5.13

Yes, a 2010 so it's a 3.8L.

I've seen the charts but was looking for some specific user feedback. Thanks.

I installed 5.38's this week. Running about 2500rpm at 70mph. It takes a pretty good hill now to make it drop out of OD.

Thanks for that feedback. I'm limited to 5.13's with the Dana 30 front, but fortunately don't have the hills you are seeing in NC.

I've got a '10 auto just regeared to 5.13. And love it. I don't drive fast and don't do much hwy driving but I think ull be happy w 5.13. I think the avenues or something like that in jax still has the $1400 sale for gears.

5.38s if you have a Rubicon.

Not a Rubi, just a Sahara so 5.13's are my choice. Just trying to make sure folks still aren't experiencing a kick down out of OD while on the highway, at least for the most part.

FWIW, I drive around like someone's grandma and never really go over 70 mph on the highway. It keeps my stress down and I got enough rush out of drag racing that fast on the street really doesn't do much for me.
