Default 2013 jeep wrangler door hinges

Attempted to take the hinges off in order to paint them. I removed the first bolt and while loosening the second (this is on the door panel portion) the internal "plate" on which the nuts are attached, started to slide around inside the door. I reinstalled both bolts thinking once I removed the second bolt the internal plate with the bolts would slide down in the door. can someone let me know if this "plate" will stay in that location, and just moves around for adjustment, or will it slide down in the door abyss once I remove the second bolt?
Thx

I have the same question. i just put the bolts back in no knowing if the back plates would fall down in the door. Anyone know?
