Default Any AEV Differential Cover Reviews?

I'm thinking of adding the AEV Diff covers to my JK. I've seen plenty of people using Solid or Riddler's. I know AEV has a price premium, like most of their stuff.

I'm not interested in a price/performance argument. I'd just like any first-hand opinions of anyone who has them.

A quick forum and google search didn't give me much info.

Thanks!

I have one and it is a nice chunk of iron. I like the inspection plug but in reality it is probably no better or no worse than any other decent diff cover. It is well made and should take a good impact with no problem.

I have 2, f&r. I really like them. seem very strong, and I like that the fill holes are jk specific. I also like the inspection/fill port, very easy to pour oil in and not have to use a pump.

JK specific fill holes are great, if you don't lift your Jeep or rotate the axles with control arms. Otherwise, you end up without enough fluid.

The only diff covers worth paying a little extra for (relative to the $100 price point ones) are the ARB. Although, $200 is a bit pricey for a diff cover. I have them and like them a lot more than the PSC ones I had.

And really, the AEV should be free given that ugly a## advertising they put in the cover.

you don't have to put the decal on it if you don't want. I like the AEV buffalo but that is the cool thing about living in the USA freedom of choice.

Freedom of choice? We must live in different countries man. In my country, the government has taken away a metric crap ton of my freedom of choice.

yea I suppose so. I am still pretty fortunate as I still am pretty much free to do what I would be doing anyway, I have never been without a good paying job for the last 40 years. I can drink til I am passed out, I can do a fair amount of off roading fairly close to my back door, I can shoot guns until I run out of ammo and then I can hope on my Harley and drive to the sporting good store and buy more ammo and start all over again. but most importantly I can buy whatever jeep parts I want and if I don't like a decal that comes in the box I do not have to put it on..

I see you live in Michigan yea I guess you have a reason to complain. Move to a Red state you will have more fun with less government lol.

Touché (though the ARB stamp is small). Only difference is that AEV is like a moped - lots of people like to use it, but no one wants to be seen with it.
