Default Bent Axle Sway Bar Mount? Pics

Just took off my AEV sway bar link extension brackets so I can weld C-gussets on (they won't work together). I opted for JKS Quick Discos which worked great. However I noticed that my lower axle sway bar link mount looks twisted. The aev brackets really made the link crooked for the last 3 months Ive had them on (I really hate these brackets ), only wheeled once with them on. Should I try to bend this back straight or will it weaken the link? Should I just leave it be? Thoughts on this.

I would think you could bend them back with as little as they are twisted. if you are welding C gussets are you able to cut them off and re-weld them on straight?

that is how my 2014 rubicon swaybar bracket looked from day one. I took delivery right off the truck so I know it was not wheeled as it had 2 miles on it.

I cant see the bent tab causing any issues. I'd leave it be personally

if you are wheeling then they will be disconnected so shouldnt be a problem for just driving around town.

My 12JKU has been like that from day one, I'm a Chrysler tech and I see it all the time.. I wrote it off as a natural characteristic.

I sure wouldn't worry about that. I wouldn't give that a second thought

I concur. Leave it alone, it's fine. Anytime you bend something back from being bent, it just will weaken it.

I have this same problem except my tab was bent way worse. My 2.5" RK Max Travel looks like it over extended and ended up flipping the swaybar. I have to take it apart tonight and hope I can bend it back close to stock (I'm not sure how i'm going to be able to do that to 3/8" steel...
