I think the PowerStep is pretty cool and having a 4 year old would be really helpful... but for that kind of money, I'd rather just lift him in.

If you have a dog don't get anything with a space line a tube and a rail the dog will get stuck and break a leg.

 

For having a kids these running boards could be extremely helpful.
