Default uh....modified XK?

Did a few low dollar mods to the wifes Commander today.

-Put on my custom made "XK" decals.

-Pulled the chrome "JEEP" emblem off the hood.

-Pulled the chrome 4x4 emblem off the back.

.........I'm going to replace this with the same decal I have on my JK, It's an old school Willy's Jeep style "4 Wheel Drive" decal. I'll post some pics up of this when it arrives.

.........Also on my decal waiting list are 2 TJ style "Jeep" decals for under my "XK" decals.

-Took off my chrome grill and sprayed it with a flat textured black. It's actually the "Grip and Guard" black. It's almost rubberized.

-Pulled the chrome "Jeep" logo off the back, and hit it with the flat black too.

Everything came out pretty cool, my wife and I just wanted the Commander to look a little more rugged, and Utility-ish. We're not big on flashy stuff.

On a side note: I'm drinking a Samuel Adams Cream Stout right now....and wow. I wasn't sure if I would like it or not, but it's really good. Every once and a while I pick up the distinct taste of chocolate. Just thought I'd share, in case there's any beer lovers out there.

How much work to get 32s to fit (my old wheels and tires)? I'll do a BB on hers but not in the mood for 4" and the ESP costs involved

Damn No Snow a Clean Jeep and Sunshine are you sure your in Jersey. I'm just across the Hudson and its miserable here.
I put a 2.5" lift on it. It's a Rocky Road lift, and you don't need to take apart the strut to put it on. I would say the front end was medium difficulty, and the rear was cake. The rear literally took all of 20-30 minutes.

After the lift was on, I got an alignment, and put on 1.5" spacers, and the 32's.

The 32's rubbed at full turn so I cut a little out of the inside wheel well, and bashed the pinch weld over.

Theres no rubbing at all now. This is how the Commander should look from the factory. Like a Jeep.

Have any pics of your JK? I'd really like to see a red rock with half doors.
