Teraflex 2.5in Shock and Spring Install
I was lucky enough to find a new in box Teraflex 2.5in kit on craigslist for $400. I installed the kit by myself using a floor jack and jack stands. Total install took about 8hrs. Just thought I would share a couple pictures and some feedback.

Rear Install
- Passenger side lower shock bolt was seized in the bushing. I ended up cutting the bolt out with a cutoff wheel. This added quite a bit of time to the install as I tried many options prior to cutting.
- It would be helpful if Teraflex had provisions for the flag nut on the axle mounted track bar adapter. It was fairly difficult to access the track bar nut and torque to 125 ft-lbs.
- I mounted the sway bar links inboard to avoid interference with the stock 18in wheels without spacers. After the install I am not sure that this was necessary, but I could not find a definitive answer on the forums.
Front Install
-Both frame side shock studs broke when attempting to remove. This actually made the install quicker.
-A coil compressor would have sped up the process. It was somewhat difficult to install the coil springs over the bump stops from an angle.
-I supported the axle under the pumpkin with the floor jack and used a motorcycle jack on the passenger side to keep the axle level when raising and lowering.
Overall
-Doing this alone was not too bad, but a second set of hands would have been helpful when re-torquing control arm and track bar bolts.
-I was concerned about the look with stock wheels/tires, but I am happy, for now... Big improvement over stock rake.
-Ride quality improved over stock IMO
-A good quality impact would have sped things up a lot. My impact is gutless and didn't help whatsoever.
