Default Trimming inner fender plastic

Ok, I've search but didn't see anything. I just got my smittybilt XRC flat fenders and I want to trim my inner fender plastic to use it. While I am confident in my abilities to do so, anyone have any pics of them cut? Process? Tips? I like to see what others have done and if no one has anything I'll do a detailed write up. Thanx... - Steve

Ditch the rear inner all together and spray foam all the holes and use some rattle can truck bed liner on the front trim them down to where metal finder is. I used tin snips to cut mine

Bunch of videos on YouTube that explain it pretty well.

This is a good guide ... I used it when doing mine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yacM_0WBt9A"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yacM_0WBt9A I also recommend using an oscillating saw to cut your inner front fenders. It cut them like butter and didn't leave any jagged edges.

I used a heat gun and a razor blade and it cut it well.

On Bushwackers there is a lip that can be used to keep the inner fender tucked into. If the smittybilt fenders don't have a lip, then you will end up with the front inner fender bowing a little in the rear.

Cut long, slowly trim back to get it right.

I used a box cutter to do the front ones. The back ones I just pulled off. Used $.99 rattle can. It's a jeep not a Maserati.

We'll let me say, the fenders don't exactly match the stock curves where the old ones were. So I taped them off, under coated the entire area, and will install the fenders and cut liners tomorrow. I wish they fit a little more exact, but for the price/budget I can't complain...

i ditched the rears. After I trimmed the front it was easy to see where the liners needed to be cut.
