LOD vs Shrockworks Sliders?
I'm trying to decide between the two. I'm wanting frame mounted sliders with steps and like both of these. Northridge has LOD on sale so that's a plus. My only concern with LOD is using a hi-lift. Will the holes deform when lifting from them? Anyone have any issues with either brand? Thanks!

The issue is rail extends 17" past the rear most support leg. This is a lot of un-supported distance.
I don't know how far back the shrockworks sliders leg is though.
UPDATE: I just called Shrockworks... great guys. They have 9" on one side and 11" on the other side. Which means IMHO that they are better supported. The guy also said that they give a lifetime warranty.
Damn, I wish I would of bought them instead.

Yes. The LOD will deform in the rear. It's ok for jacking, but if you come down on it with any more weight (say slipping off a rock) and it will deflect upwards.

We offer a FUll 100% Warranty with our sliders. If there is something wrong with the sliders call us and we will ship you a new set, easy as that. We have lots of customers with these and this is the only time I have ever seen anything like it. We have customers send us pics of their sliders with the abuse they take but never have we seen a set flex and hit the body, so we are more than happy to take care of you. We can replace them for you as maybe there is a defect in them that we can't see by the picture, or something wrong with the steel. Give us a call and we can help you out. If you need a custom set with more mounts, due to extreme abuse we can do that for you also.

Deleted my initial response. I am PM'ing LOD with my response. Let's just say that I already called and emailed in June.

I'm in no way a fanboy of LOD, but I have their MidWidth front bumper and it's solid as a rock.
You guys crack me up. We take our Jeeps off road and put them into situations that would destroy another vehicle, and you expect them to come out unscathed.
All the dealings I have had with Chris at LOD were great. When I changed from the Armorlite to the MidWidth, he even sent me the skid plate free of charge.
So maybe next time I hit something with my bumper and it dents, I should complain that it wasn't strong enough. :crazy eyes:
About the High Lift……If you put the jack close to one of the mounting points, you shouldn't have a problem.

I've heard nothing but great things about both companies. I went with LOD due to quicker turnaround time. And like LOD said, this is the first time I've heard of anyone having bending into the body issues with their sliders. I've beat mine to hell since 2010 (all rock crawling) and other than the need to touch them up with some black bedliner spray, they are still in perfect shape. Even the old admin and his crew of JKF who did hardcore wheeling all over have run them with no issues.
I am guessing the issue seen in the pic is a one in a million type situation. And if the poster was able to do that damage with his LOD sliders, I bet the Jeep would have been destroyed had it been a different brand..especially any of the body mounted options out there.

I decided to give LOD the benefit of the doubt.
I just got off the phone with LOD... they are sending me extra leg mounts to reinforce my sliders, and apologized for an earlier miscommunication.
I do believe that they really want to make customers happy.
In fact they offered to make me a custom set of sliders... I was tempted... so tempted, but it wouldn't be right.
