Default Rear diff cover fiasco

Yesterday I called poison spyder to order a bombshell cover for the rear diff on my '14 rubicon so replace the one I peeled back a bit which started a slow leak. I had seen that they don't recommend them for the front at stock height but did not see the same warning for the rear. Apparently neither had the sales guy on the phone. Shortly after the purchase I was doing some more reading and saw that they don't recommend it for the rear either. I called them back, spoke to the same salesman who asked where I read that. I then read the warning right off their website. Money was refunded though it'll take a few days to see it back in my account.

All the local shops are very limited, mostly ARB, which I cannot justify its price. I finally settle on a Riddler cover from 4 wheel parts. I picked up paint for it as well as gear oil.

After finally getting all the old RTV scraped off I went to lay down a bead of RTV that came with the diff cover. It was an empty, but sealed, container.

So now I'm waiting for it to warn up so that I can hook up the bike trailer to my bike and take my year and a half year old son across town to get more RTV.

Riddler diff cover is going to give you the same issues a poison spyder cover will at stock height. Pretty sure they both will make contact with the track bar.

Yeah are they not the same cover and just rebranded?

Sorry to hear about your travels though, some bad luck of events.

I did not have any rubbing on the rear when I was stock. The front definitely rubs at stock height. I will eventually order a new bombshell cover for the front.

I don't think there any replacement diff cover that will work with a stock suspension.
