$2800 parts and labor good or bad?

Default $2800 parts and labor good or bad?

Been a member for along time but never have posted. I just got a quote for 5.13 gears front and back, alloy ball joints, sleeve front dana 30 as well as trussing it all this done for $2800.00 i know the average cost to regear but have never priced everything else. This is at 4 wheel parts here in orlando.

If you need to sleeve and truss a D30, it's time to upgrade. Whatever abuse requires that will blow everything else up first. Especially running 5.13 gears in a D30. That's brave. Also, you have to really trust the welder to weld on a truss and not warp the housing.

Ditch the truss. Add c-gussets. Do nitro sleeves yourself. You'll save about $1000.

that sounds about right for retail.

upgradeing a D30 is a toss up. if going to a D44 is out of the question and you want to run bigger tires and do some harder trails then go for it.

But understand any money you put in a upgraded D30 is GONE!!! There is really no value to them and they can be purchesed new from a junker for little money
