Spyder Body Armor Powdercoat Fail and stuck Nutserts
Hey guys hows it going, I currently took off my rocker armor due to the fact the Powder coating was Rusting
Here are what the Rocker Armor looked like after taking it off the Jeep

This stuff does a great job highly recommend it
Here is a comparison of how the Armor looks using the Rust-oleum Air Craft Remover and the bottom Armor was done by using a wire wheel on my angle grinder and sanded down fine with sanding blocks
I plan on using two coats of Zero-rust with two coats of Rust-oleum semi black and two coats of clear I will take pictures of the finish product

Now here is where I have a problem, I had to drill out the heads of the bolt in order to get the Rocker Armor off, so now I am in the position with 6 nutserts with bolts stuck in them. What be the best way of going about this I have new nutserts I just don't know how to take out the old ones while not disturbing the holes if only these damn bolts would just spin out. Hopefully you guys can help me get to the bottom of this as I am itching to put these back on my JKU!

I would simply use a drill to remove the head or exposed part of the nutsert. If a drill doesn't work because the bolt is still in there sticking out, use a dremmel tool or a cutoff wheel to grind off the heads.
Once the head is gone, the nutsert will simply push out through the panel. Then install the new nutsert.
You might think about getting stainless nutserts and/or a tool to properly install them. Go here. http://www.cardinalcomponents.com/fasteners.html
BTW, spray the holes with paint before you install the fastener or it will continue to rust, and after the holes are rusted too large, the inserts will no longer grip.

Yeah, you're not cutting the nutsert out like the above post suggested. I have a lot of experience with nutserts, including for poison Spyder armor. Honestly, the easiest thing to do is tack weld the nutsert in place and spin the bolt out.
As for the rust, use Por15 if you don't want it to happen again.

If you tackweld the nutsert, would you then also have to weld something to the bolt to turn it out?
