Default question about buying lift kit for high mileage 4d

I think I've decided on a Tera Flex 2.5. The 07 Jeep has 141k ,stock since new. Is it wise to just go ahead and purchase the TF kit that comes with springs and shocks rather than just the BB since those components may be worn anyway? I think that kit is 730.00 as opposed to the BB kit. It was lady driven since new, never off roaded.

Women drive like Mario,

With that said, I my self would get new springs if you plan on adding a new bumper and bigger spare tire as the stock springs will most likely will sag with a quickness.

If your not planning on adding weight and daily drive it with minimal wheeling the stock springs should be alright for a while.

I would recommend the spring and shock kit. I installed a TF 2.5 spring and shock on my Unlimited with 118k. Both front shock studs snapped off when I attempted to remove them. My Jeep rides better than it did prior to the lift. The spring and shock kit also comes with the better rear track bar relocation bracket (axle mounted). The BB comes with the frame mounted bracket.

I would be more concerned with worn out bushings in the control arms and steering links as well as tie rod ends and ball joints then worn out coils. Teraflex does not have a steller record when it comes to coils either, but I hear they have a great warrentee and will ship you new ones when the sag.

What size tires are you going to run?

Good info. Just what I was looking for. I will also inspect any other components for excess wear. In fact I expect it due to the miles

Same as potato... My 07 JKUS has 85k... Did the TF 2.5 with springs and shock, snapped both front shocks top bolts, but much better ride... Going to do front discos next, maybe both track bars. Then do control arms if I notice issues with uneven tire wear...
