Default New wrangler hood option?

It's like 200 dollars less than the AEV, but looks pretty legit? Anyone know someone with this good or what the story is behind it?

I'm sure that $200 savings will be spent on prep work to get this hood looking up to par. Another cheap AEV knockoff, you get what you pay for...

There are no deals on AEV products. If that hood is new it's likely a fake. There are several knock off's out there. I have the real one and it's factory high quality.

I'm going with the 10a hood. I love my AEV lift but their products are certainly over priced for what they are. 1k for a hood is absurd. For 1k I'm getting a 10a hood shipped and a wild boar grill!

The hood posted in the original link is made by Extreme Dimensions. They are known for making lots of body kits for imports. The Duroflex material they used is similar to a urethane.

yea I know of them from my high school tuner days...back then they were know for making some of the better fitting, more expensive body kits...but this isn't worth buying if its not a direct bolt on, any body work at all is going to make it more expensive than the other hoods out there.

There is one for sale locally on Craigs List. The description says that it still needs holes drilled to be mounted and work prior to paint. You def get what you pay for in this case... Jeep Jk Parts Custom Heat Reduction hood wild boar grill

I think your hood is the way to go for us V8 guys. Down the road I may sell mine and get one of yours. I saw a lot of them at EJS and they look great! I think your hood would cool a lot more than the AEV hood I have. You can never overcool a JK with a big or supercharged engine in my opinion. Chrysler is getting the new Hellcat to cool in traffic wind tunnel testing and keeping air flowing through the engine compartment.

Thank you

We actually have had several customers now replace their AEV hoods with one of ours. One even says it alleviated his over heating issue in CA traffic!
