Default Replacement U-Joint D-30 2013 JKU (non Rubicon)

So I have a faulty u-joint after some offroading. Stock axles on a dana 30, non rubicon 2013 JK unlimited. Ordered what I thought was the right one (Spicer 5-760X) but now I have it all apart I go to put the new joints in and it is smaller then the broken one. the one I took out is about 2.5" snap ring to snap ring but the new one is only 2.2". All the online sites say the 5-760X is the right one for a D30 2013 wrangler but it doesn't look it to me. Anyone know the correct part? everything i find on the web says the 5-760X is right for the non rubi (D30) and I definitely have aD30 front axle with stock shafts. the old one has SPR 5182 stamped on it. Here's comparison pic of the two joints.

Also, any bright ideas where I can get one on a Sunday as I need to get stuff back together tomorrow.

thanks, Alan
PS - anyone need a couple 5-760X U-joints?

continuing my discussion with myself. maybe someone will join me this time........ i replaced this with a Spicer 5-7166X. had to grind a little (red arrow) to get it to fit as it was a little beefier in the body compared to the stock. but the measurements were all the same and it fit. all was good, until a few hours into some offloading last weekend and the loud clicking noise comes back. look at it today and this new U-joint is destroyed - see purple arrow in picture. now am i just unlucky (or just a clumsy driver), is this the wrong part #, installed badly, or do I perhaps have something else wrong that is causing my U-joints to fail? any ideas?
thanks, Alan

continuing to damage a given part is typical and evidence you have another connecting part worn. You need to go down the line to what else is worn and start replacing from there.

makes sense. i'll check out the axle for straightness etc when I get it out next weekend. not sure what else i should check. i guess bent C's could put a lot of stress on a u joint. as could driving like a yahoo :-)

Default Replacement U-Joint D-30 2013 JKU (non Rubicon)

Were the clips seated firmly against the machined face ?
The u-joint shouldn't just fail like that unless a cap backed out.

Next time it's out. You can grind away some of the ear for full circle clips. That or place a small tach weld to keep the caps in place.

looks like i have lost a clip, so presumably was not seated properly. i'll follow the advice to grind enough to get full circle clips in (which are only $10 for 8 online) - thanks, for the advice!

I only replaced one side but should have done it for precautionary reasons.
Grind away this area.
