Ok well there are a lot of "will it fit" threads as far as rubbing on fenders etc. I have a 2014 JKU sport, I have everything for my regear to 5.13s, nitro sleeves, gussets. I also have 37x12.5x17 Nitto Trail Grapplers and wheels are 17x8.5 Method NV with 4.75 backspacing and offset is 0.

My question is, if I remove my fenders completely can I run my gears and wheel/tire setup until I can get my lift and Poison Spyder fenders. It would be strictly dedicated to on road just for the time being until I purchase and install the RK 3.5 kit. I also have a daystar 1" body lift that can go on to help with tire clearance. I already plan to trim the pinch seam but what else would need to be done if this is a possible temporary setup?

You should be running less than 4" backspacing for 37s to avoid rubbing while turning. Besides that, you should be able to run them as long as you stick to the pavement.

Do you have a stock or stubby front bumper? Your tires may rub if you have a stock or full width bumper.

 

Ok well I was looking at the possibility running 1.5" spacers so it sounfs like that might be a good idea anyways. I have a full stock bumper right now but it will be replaced in the near future and can become a stubby real quick if needed. I really just want to get the regear done and slap the tires on so they arent sitting around and so I can decide how high I want to go with the lift.

 

I had 2.5" lift and 40s. If you put them on now. You might trim more theb you want too.

 

Trim more of the pinch seam? I have debated on going with Rock Krawler 2.5 over the 3.5 but I am still undecided.

 

If i was going with 37s i would rather have 3.5 vs 2.5 inches of lift. Thats just me though. Im currently running the 2.5 inch RK X factor lift with 35s and flat fenders

with 4.75 BS, you are going to rub a lot. Throw some wheel spacers on, trim both pinch seams in the rear and you should be able to get by for a little while.

 

Might want to consider a front axle change if you do any heavy four wheeling as well. Also, you can trim your factory flares to flatties if you wanted to keep them.

 

1"difference in coil height has nothing to do with trimming the pinch seam. You would need to trim the same amount in either case. The amount of bump stop you run and tire size will dictate how much trimming you need to do.
