Question anyone running delta lug lights on a swing out tire carrier?

I cut my third brake light off a long time ago and have been using the delta lug lights w/ my stock spare carrier. I love them.

But....

I just ordered up my new bumper/tire carrier and for the life of me, i cant figure out how to wire up the lug lights with a swing away carrier. The wiring runs out from the rubber grommet on the tailgate to the spare, so are you supposed to just leave 3-4ft of wire just dangling outside your tailgate so you can swing open the carrier !?? there has got to be a cleaner way to install this.

Anyone run into this? Hopefully with pics

thx

buy more wire, cut and splice. Pull it out of the stock tail gate, you will see a budle of wires near the hinge on the inside of the door. Pull the wires out there, run them through the body and out from under the corner panel. Then, I would drill a pass through hole through the bumper, not too close to the hinge point and run it along the swing away tire carrier. Easy job. Maybe an hour of work.

Wow...didn't think about going that route. That's a good idea. Thanks!

If you really want it clean, I suggest running it through the tubing of the carrier.
