Default wandering after tire rotation?

Guys,

Did the PP drag link flip kit a month or so ago.

Drove great, more connected steering feel.

Problem arose after rotating my tires....next morning on the way to work it's now wandering a bit and grabbing the road alot more.

Anyone run into this before?

Maybe check your tire pressures. And how did you determine what pressure to use? Also, I hate to ask this but your profile information is not filled out so pardon me for treating you like you don't know anything (sometimes people actually don't): Your tires aren't uni-directional, are they? If so, did you rotate consistent with that?

No problem Mark. Gotta get to filling out my sig soon...

Tires are 35" MTR's so non- directional.

Pressures are 35 psi across all 4.

4" lift...Evo/MC combo

This has me scratching my head since it started immediately following tire rotation.

I have however had issues before with MTR's on my Dodge diesel in the 37" flavor. Balance and wobbling something fierce.

So far these have been on the Jeep for almost 2 years without problems

That's a tad on the high side for that large a tire. I run about 30 and have a very heavy rig. Have you done a chalk test?

Not yet but I was going to. What stumps me is it was great for a month before rotating them.

I will rotate them back first to see if I can narrow it to just the tires...

Yeah... agreed. I run mine at 28 which is still high for the chalk test but I dont like DD on anything less. Your high pressure may be making them too stiff and bouncy causing you to wander instead of mold to the ruts.

I could see that if it was doing it before the rotation but it wasn't.

Pressures are identical..only thing that changed was location...

Good idea. If it does it after returning the tires to their previous positions, then we need to talk lifts and exactly what components you have, how you've got caster set, etc.

Yep. But it's a Jeep. Sometimes things just don't make sense. Maybe you'll be okay with the steering feel after you've changed the tire pressures. As I'm sure you well know, it doesn't cost anything to try.

Aired down to 30 psi before driving to the gym with no change in tracking issues. Smoother ride bump wise though!

I'm going to rotate back next after lunch and see where that leaves me.

Next focal point as you stated Mark, will be suspension related.

Also good point about it being a Jeep...from my old YJ and TJ's, this is feeling familiar!
