stock 3.6L & 3.73 with 35s. how does it drive?
i'm sure on flat roads it might be tolerable, but how would this combo feel for all other types of driving -- uphills, offroading, full of passengers, etc. also, how would gas mileage be affected?
or would it be better off just sticking with 33s if I have no intentions to ever regear since this is a leased vehicle for 2 years?

That's what I have. It really is just a hair better that the stock 2008 we had with the old 3.8. I think it's very tolerable. My in town mpg is 16-17 and highway is 15ish at speeds over 60. The 5 speed auto doesn't search gears and seems to be happy. If I had some extra cash or really wheeled it hard (rocks or real steep hills) I think 4.56 or 4.88 gears might be a good route. They are on my to-do list, but not at the top right now.

Stay with 33's unless you plan to lift which I wouldn't do on a leased vehicle. General impression is you aren't wheeling a leased vehicle, then again, I have. Your call. 35's and no lift, you will rub fenders with passengers and simple off cambers into/out of parking lots.
