Default Buying new tires/wheels online or local?

I'd like to know what most jeepers do? I got a great price from an online site. Local place...not a good experience. Should I be a little leary about purchasing my combo online?

I bought from discount tire direct. Great prices, free shipping, come mounted and balanced ready to bolt up. I'd recommend them.

I agree with the search and purchase online assuming one can do this.. we never have enough funds in the account to actually make a purchase like this.. but if you can do the combo setup tires and wheels.. and like the above post.. they are delivered to you ready to mount on the jeep.. assuming you've done your homework on rim size and backspacing allowances. But then one would have to deal with the TPMS in each tire.. so dico the battery when you swapping tires..

Why disconnect battery. I swapped out my oem with new tires and wheels with new TPMS and had no problems. New TPMS were picked up within a few miles.

Discount Tire Direct is a long time sponsor here. I have bought from them several times. The prices, packaging, shipping, and overall service is really good. They also have a replacement warranty available if you happen to destroy a tire. I haven't had to use it, but a friend of mine did. They shipped him a brand new tire no questions asked. Highly recommend.

I agree with all the above....you may need to drive for 15 or so at the worst but they will be reset Just make sure you pay the extra to have them add the TPMS or you will have to add them once they come mounted and balanced

I have done alot of research. Yes I would be getting the TPMS. Never heard of having to disconnect battery though. As long as I get the correct ones, the jeep should recognize after so many miles. Thanks for the replies everyone. Def leaning toward ordering from DS. The local tire place didnt seem to know what he was talking about as far as jeeps. AND he kept trying to push the duratracs on me. They were a goodyear dealer after all. I don't think that they think us girls can actually know "stuff" about jeeps or cars in general.
