Default 2012+ Transfer Case Help Needed ASAP!!!

So I've been looking for a Rubi tcase to put into my Sport. I've found one local but I wanted to confirm it was truly for an automatic before I spend the money. I know the tcase from 2012+ is different for a manual and an automatic.

Can someone confirm from the picture that this is truly for an auto? I'd heard the auto tcase had a male splined input shaft but have not been to confirm that.

Thanks for your help!

Get the part number off it and check. Then there is no guessing.

Those are the part numbers for the rock-tracs.

I did this same swap on my 2008 w/auto and mine didn't have that extra piece sticking out on the front. I think that case is for a standard but check the part# on it. One of the best upgrades for a JK!

Thanks for the quick feedback. I asked the seller for the part number. While I wait for the response, the search continues! I think you are right though that it is for a manual.

I've had to switch out two rubi cases on my manual trans '12 sport (one grenaded on me ). The shaft that goes into the transmission, on that case, however, looks completely different from what mine did. Gimme a second and I'll post it up. I think your case is for the auto, considering all of the JK transfer cases are swappable EXCEPT for the 2012+ autos. And I can tell you right now.. THAT case will NOT mate with my manual 2012. Not a chance in hell, lol.

This was my first Rubi Tcase. It's a 2012, and it grenaded. Sad day.. You can't really see the output shaft, because it is covered with a plastic cap. HOWEVER you can see that it is MUCH shorter than what you have posted up.

This is from my second Rubi Tcase. It is from a 2009 I believe.

This one is from the stock '12 manual Sport Tcase I have sitting in my kitchen, lol.

As you can see, the shafts that mate up with the both 3.8's, and the 3.6 manual transmissions only stick out about an inch.
