Default 35s and no lift?

So I'm thinking of running flat fender flares (Bushwacker), stock Rubi HR wheels with 1.5" spacers, a Teraflex leveling kit (1.5"), and 35x12.5 NITTO Trail Grapplers.

Will this setup rub at all while turning? Will it rub at all while flexing? I figure the spacers will prevent turn-rubbing, but will I need bumpstops for flex-rubbing?

Keep in mind, the title says no lift, but I do have a Tera leveling kit, so there is 2" of spring spacers in front and 1" in rear.

Ran the same setup (Teraflex 1.5" spacer leveling kit, 35" Nitto TGs, 4.5" backspaced wheels, cut stock fenders, cut pinch seam) for 2 years, no rubbing. With the 1.5" wheel spacers it puts you at 4.5" backspacing which is the same as the wheels I am running. Rear might have needed 1" bump stops.

Awesome, that's exactly what I was hoping. Good looking jeep!

Does cutting the pinch seam deteriorate the condition of the body in any way? Like, could it return to stock with stock flares with no problem?

What does the pinch seem provide that you lose by cutting it?

I'm running 35s on a 2.5" lift with no problems. A friend of mine switched to 37s on his jkur and put his old 35s on his wife's jku Sahara with absolutely no lift. She rubbed while turning but did not take off road so flex was not an issue. So if the tires mount and roll on a bone stock ride, you should have no issues at all with the mods you are making. Good luck.

You can opt to bend it over with a BFH if you don't want to cut it. It's the rear front edge fender well corner and you cut/bend so it doesn't damage your tire.

Hmm, so it looks like it might just be unnecessary metal...? I'll have to go look closely at my stock when i get a chance, but it doesn't look like anything attaches to it in any way, which makes me feel better about removing it.

Thanks for the replies, including the link to the other thread. I know, I know, the question has been asked and answered before, but if we all used the search function perfectly and nobody ever asked the same question more than once on the internet... well that would just be boring now wouldn't it?

Plus its nice to get a current, fresh, tailored response to questions from experts such as yourselves. It's what forums are for!
